Radio Apintie Surinam

Does anyone know definitively if Radio Apintie is still on shortwave? They don't mention it on their website.

I had one of my clients Facebook them in Dutch to ask and the young person who responded didn't know what shortwave was!

The last time I saw anything in print was back in 2019 from a Brazilian DXer.

Good question -- I have not seem them reported in a very long time..

March 21, 2019 on 4,990 kHz was the last reported logging so far as I can tell from research.

Apintie was heard from an KiwiSDR in Brazil pretty much all night during that period.

If anyone has anything newer, I would appreciate knowing about it. Thanks!

sometimes you have to get your own answers...in a series of e-mails with the director of Radio Apintie I was informed that the shortwave transmitter is off the air and they do not intend to reactivate it.
