Re: Favorite SWL programs
Sure, Jim72Upson, try at night or in the morning :) these were just my reliable favorites I look up almost every local morning this year (and which all work in my ICF-7600GR as well). I needed lots of bandscanning and SWLing-reading on my way, and SDRs are fantastic, I used to fiddle a lot with a cl...

Re: Unusual interference in Russian language on 7055khz
I believe this is what the IARU Intruder Watch calls "the radio war" it´s been very prominent on 7055 and equally strong on the 80 meters ham band in Europe. facebook.com/groups/darchfref/posts/2481540022139475/ summarizes the political content.

Re: What is the best indoor antenna for SWLing?
The Sony AN-LP1 works quite well, and better when inductively coupled with another loop of Chinese descent, the Degen MS-31. Years ago I just found out, if you hang the MS-31 loop one right over it (and both on the inside of a window), you get more and louder signals even without turning the MS-31 a...

I second the greetings. I know this will be my additional go-to site each day right after reading on swling.

Re: Malachit SDR (CHN clone) + Sony AN-LP1 ampl. loop
Thank you, Andrew, I´m afraid I´m a little "mechanically challenged" but I´m going to try. Some months ago I tried (following the good guide posted at swling) to make an own Youloop but I found a random wire half in- and half outdoors worked even better. I´m going to use its parts to see w...

Malachit SDR (CHN clone) + Sony AN-LP1 ampl. loop
Hello, I am mostly using the Sony AN-LP1 antenna for it - great results on 80 meters, but for 49 meters I find a simple random wire works quite equally well or better. Haven´t yet gotten around to order and test a more modern loop one. I have been studying many YT videos about this subject but so fa...
